                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1990, Pharr Crime Stoppers,
    1-2  Inc., has enabled Texas law enforcement agents to recover stolen
    1-3  property, seize illegal narcotics, and make the Lone Star State a
    1-4  safer place in which to live; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, For three consecutive years, Pharr Crime Stoppers,
    1-6  Inc., has been the most successful crime prevention program of its
    1-7  size in the State of Texas, leading its category in the value of
    1-8  stolen property recovered and illegal drugs confiscated and earning
    1-9  the organization the State Productivity Award for its exceptional
   1-10  work in behalf of Pharr residents; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The many notable achievements of Pharr Crime
   1-12  Stoppers, Inc., are due in large part to the tireless efforts of
   1-13  its coordinator Roy Padilla and assistant coordinator Ray Tovias
   1-14  and the officers and members of its board of directors, including
   1-15  chair Marci Bishop, vice chair Ted Sunderland, secretary Judy
   1-16  Coggins, treasurer Ronda Johnson, and members Mike Coggins, Jennie
   1-17  Morehead, Sue Sexton, Glen Robie, Letty Galvan, and Joe Fletcher;
   1-18  and
   1-19        WHEREAS, Through their work with Pharr Crime Stoppers, Inc.,
   1-20  these fine citizens have demonstrated the highest level of
   1-21  dedication and concern for their fellow Texans, and they are indeed
   1-22  worthy of special legislative recognition at this time; now,
   1-23  therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby commend the officers and members of Pharr Crime
    2-2  Stoppers, Inc., for their many exceptional contributions toward law
    2-3  enforcement and crime prevention efforts in the State of Texas;
    2-4  and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-6  prepared for the members and officers of Pharr Crime Stoppers,
    2-7  Inc., as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
    2-8  Representatives.
