                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Cypress-Fairbanks High School girls' softball
    1-2  team has achieved outstanding success in 1995 by winning the
    1-3  District 34-5A title and earning a coveted berth in the University
    1-4  Interscholastic League (UIL) state tournament; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, After completing district competition undefeated,
    1-6  this superior team won its way to the regional finals of the UIL
    1-7  tournament, and although failing to advance further, it completed
    1-8  its season with a phenomenal record of 20 wins against only five
    1-9  defeats; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Head coach Debbie Burrows provided her talented
   1-11  young charges with exceptional guidance, and her tireless efforts
   1-12  in this regard helped mold her Cypress-Fairbanks High School squad
   1-13  into one of the state's premier softball teams; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, This exemplary group of young women, along with
   1-15  their coaches and staff, is a source of great pride to the students
   1-16  and faculty at Cypress-Fairbanks High School and to their many
   1-17  supporters in the community, and their superb accomplishments are
   1-18  indeed worthy of special legislative recognition; now, therefore,
   1-19  be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-21  Legislature hereby congratulate the Cypress-Fairbanks High School
   1-22  girls' softball team on its extraordinary achievements during the
   1-23  1995 season, including the District 34-5A title and an appearance
   1-24  in the UIL championship tournament, and extend to the team sincere
    2-1  best wishes for continued success in the future; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-3  prepared for the team members and coaching staff and for prominent
    2-4  display at Cypress-Fairbanks High School as an expression of high
    2-5  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
