                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Jonnie and Gerhard Schulz for their outstanding service to the
    1-3  Republican Party; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Former residents of Austin, Mr. and Mrs. Schulz
    1-5  relocated to Plano, where they have given generously of their time,
    1-6  talents, and resources to the benefit of the Collin County
    1-7  Republican Party, and they have volunteered countless hours to
    1-8  ensure the success of the party's events, campaigns, and
    1-9  candidates; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Highly regarded for their stalwart service to the
   1-11  party, the couple has worked tirelessly to strengthen its presence
   1-12  in the North Dallas area through their service in leadership
   1-13  capacities with several Republican groups; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Their numerous contributions have earned them well
   1-15  deserved acclaim, and the pair has been honored with several
   1-16  prestigious accolades; Mrs. Schulz was the recipient of the 1992
   1-17  State Republican Executive Committee's Woman of the Year Award, and
   1-18  the couple recently received the 1995 Collin County Chairman's
   1-19  Award; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The Schulzes are now relocating to Raleigh, North
   1-21  Carolina, to be closer to their beloved grandchildren, and they
   1-22  will be sorely missed by their many friends and colleagues
   1-23  throughout the Plano community; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby honor Jonnie and Gerhard Schulz for the many
    2-2  contributions they have made to the Republican Party at the local,
    2-3  state, and national levels and extend to them warmest best wishes
    2-4  for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-6  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Schulz as an expression of high regard by
    2-7  the Texas House of Representatives.
