                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The National Auctioneers Foundation was formed by
    1-2  the National Auctioneers Association to develop, preserve, and
    1-3  research the history of the auctioneering profession on a
    1-4  continuing basis; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The National Auctioneers Foundation maintains a Hall
    1-6  of History and Archives and strives to provide a source of
    1-7  information and research facilities on behalf of the auctioneering
    1-8  profession; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, An effort is being made by the National Auctioneers
   1-10  Foundation to establish a large endowment to help with the
   1-11  educational and benevolent needs of professional auctioneers, their
   1-12  families, and employees, in Texas as well as throughout the United
   1-13  States; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Many Texas auctioneers participate as members of the
   1-15  National Auctioneers Association, and presently, Texans are in
   1-16  leadership positions on the boards of directors of both the
   1-17  National Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers
   1-18  Foundation, the nonprofit organization of the National Association;
   1-19  and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The efforts of the National Auctioneers Foundation
   1-21  and the leadership provided by professional auctioneers from Texas
   1-22  and across the United States truly merit special recognition; now,
   1-23  therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-2  Legislature hereby honor the National Auctioneers Foundation and
    2-3  its officers and board members for their exemplary efforts in the
    2-4  field of marketing, the preservation of history, and the assistance
    2-5  to auctioneers, their families, and their employees; and, be it
    2-6  further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
    2-8  for the officers and board members of the National Auctioneers
    2-9  Foundation as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
   2-10  Representatives.
