                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Sue Daniel was accorded a great honor recently when
    1-2  she was selected as Volunteer of the Year for Senate District 16 by
    1-3  the State Republican Executive Committee; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, For the past 15 years, Mrs. Daniel has worked
    1-5  tirelessly for the advancement of the Republican Party's ideals and
    1-6  candidates, and her selfless work has contributed greatly to the
    1-7  party's recent success in this state; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, She has served as both an election clerk and an
    1-9  election judge, and she has acted as precinct chair since 1990; she
   1-10  has spent countless hours working on mailings and phone bank
   1-11  efforts, and she frequently canvasses her neighborhood to earn
   1-12  support for Republican candidates; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, An esteemed member of the First Republican Women's
   1-14  Club, the Dallas County Council of Republican Women, and the Dallas
   1-15  County Republican Assembly, Mrs. Daniel has offered her assistance
   1-16  to the party at the local, regional, and state levels and has
   1-17  worked closely with many prominent Republican candidates, including
   1-18  Senators Phil Gramm and Kay Bailey Hutchison, former Presidents
   1-19  Ronald Reagan and George Bush, and many others; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Sue Daniel's many hours of political involvement and
   1-21  service exemplify the highest ideals of representative government,
   1-22  and she is indeed deserving of praise and recognition for her
   1-23  contributions to the democratic process; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby honor Sue Daniel for her dedicated political
    2-2  service and extend to her warmest best wishes for continued success
    2-3  and happiness; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-5  prepared for Mrs. Daniel as an expression of high regard by the
    2-6  Texas House of Representatives.
