H.R. No. 1039 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Forest Hill Councilman Len A. Fuller, Jr., has made 1-2 many outstanding contributions toward making his community and 1-3 state better places in which to work, live, and raise a family; and 1-4 WHEREAS, A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mr. Fuller has 1-5 lived in Fort Worth for 29 years and has worked tirelessly in 1-6 behalf of others as mayor pro tempore of the Forest Hill City 1-7 Council, president of the Forest Hill Lions Club, president of the 1-8 Sickle Cell Anemia Association of Texas, and treasurer of the O. D. 1-9 Wyatt High School Parent-Teacher Association; and 1-10 WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States armed forces and a 1-11 longtime employee of the New York Life Insurance Company, this 1-12 exemplary individual has been designated one of the Outstanding 1-13 Young Men of America and has received countless awards for his 1-14 achievements within the insurance industry as well; he also is 1-15 greatly respected throughout the Metroplex business community for 1-16 his work with his local chamber of commerce and the Fort Worth 1-17 Economic Development Corporation; and 1-18 WHEREAS, In addition to his many professional and civic 1-19 responsibilities, Mr. Fuller is a devoted member of the community 1-20 of faith at the Truevine Baptist Church, where he currently serves 1-21 as church administrator, as chairman of the deacon staff, and as 1-22 Sunday school teacher; he enjoys a rewarding marriage with his wife 1-23 of 26 years, Shirley, and cherishes close and loving relationships 1-24 with his children; and 2-1 WHEREAS, During his illustrious tenure as a public servant in 2-2 his community, Councilman Fuller has helped ensure the continued 2-3 economic growth and vitality of Forest Hill and secured many 2-4 important services for the community by representing his 2-5 constituents with courage, compassion, and commitment; he has set a 2-6 shining example of excellence and dedication to which all local 2-7 officials may aspire, and his many exceptional accomplishments do 2-8 indeed merit special legislative commendation and praise at this 2-9 time; now, therefore, be it 2-10 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas 2-11 Legislature hereby commend Len A. Fuller, Jr., for his many notable 2-12 contributions to the community of Forest Hill and the State of 2-13 Texas; and, be it further 2-14 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-15 prepared for Mr. Fuller as an expression of high regard by the 2-16 Texas House of Representatives.
