                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher
    1-2  Education (TACHE) will hold its state convention on June 14-17,
    1-3  1995, and the Texas House of Representatives is pleased to have
    1-4  this opportunity to honor the organization for its commitment to
    1-5  education; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Since 1974, TACHE has worked for the betterment of
    1-7  educational and employment opportunities for Hispanics in higher
    1-8  education, and it has provided outstanding networking opportunities
    1-9  for professionals in this field; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Its membership has grown beyond the state's Hispanic
   1-11  population to include other individuals who are working to recruit
   1-12  and retain Hispanic students, academicians, and professionals; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, The Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher
   1-14  Education provides an invaluable service to the State of Texas, and
   1-15  its members are indeed deserving of highest praise and recognition
   1-16  as they gather for their state convention; now, therefore, be it
   1-17        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-18  Legislature hereby honor the Texas Association of Chicanos in
   1-19  Higher Education for its dedicated efforts and extend to its
   1-20  members warmest best wishes for many more years of continued
   1-21  success; and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-23  prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by
   1-24  the Texas House of Representatives.
