                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State
    1-2  of Texas, 74th Legislature, Regular Session, 1995, That House Rule
    1-3  13, Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule
    1-4  13, Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to
    1-5  resolve the differences on Senate Bill No.  1513 to consider and
    1-6  take action on the following specific matter:
    1-7        House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1) is suspended to permit the
    1-8  committee to enact Sections 86(a)(4) and (5), Uniform Act
    1-9  Regulating Traffic on Highways, to read as follows:
   1-10              (4)  a <(c)  A> railroad engine approaching within
   1-11  approximately fifteen hundred (1500) feet of the highway crossing
   1-12  emits a signal audible from such distance and such engine by reason
   1-13  of its speed or nearness to such crossing is an immediate hazard;
   1-14  or
   1-15              (5)  an <(d)  An> approaching railroad train is plainly
   1-16  visible and <is> in hazardous proximity to such crossing.
   1-17        Explanation:  This action is necessary to protect the lives
   1-18  of drivers of motor vehicles at certain railroad crossings in this
   1-19  state.
