Suspending the limitations on conference committee

    1-2                          R E S O L U T I O N
    1-3        BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State
    1-4  of Texas, That Rule 13, Section 9(a), Rules of the House of
    1-5  Representatives, 74th Legislature, Regular Session, 1995, is
    1-6  suspended, as provided by Rule 13, Section 9(f), to the extent
    1-7  described in this resolution, to enable the conference committee
    1-8  appointed to adjust the differences between the house and senate
    1-9  versions of H.B. No. 2349, relating to solid waste management and
   1-10  disposal, to successfully conclude the committee's deliberations,
   1-11  by authorizing the conferees to consider and take action on the
   1-12  following specific matter:
   1-13        House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1), is suspended to permit the
   1-14  committee to alter Section 361.071, Health and Safety Code, in
   1-15  SECTION 5 of the bill, by striking "solid waste management
   1-16  facility" and substituting "municipal solid waste management
   1-17  facility other than a facility that engages in combustion" and by
   1-18  striking "solid waste" and substituting "municipal solid waste".
   1-19        The amendment is necessary to clarify that Section 361.071,
   1-20  Health and Safety Code, is intended to apply only to municipal
   1-21  solid waste management facilities except those that engage in
   1-22  combustion.
