                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Rockdale High School's Business Professionals of
    1-2  America parliamentary procedure team recently achieved a fifth
    1-3  place finish at the national level of competition, ranking them
    1-4  among the top of a highly select group of 27 teams drawn from every
    1-5  corner of the country; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Along with their devoted sponsor, Lisa Gaeke, these
    1-7  determined students worked tirelessly to prepare for the
    1-8  competition, giving up lunch hours and evenings to learn the
    1-9  complicated process that has for many centuries regulated the
   1-10  operations of American business and government; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, President Matt Ferguson, vice president Michelle
   1-12  Burrough, secretary Melissa Freeman, treasurer Dustin Zanders,
   1-13  sergeant-at-arms Blaine Zelisko, parliamentarian Chris Frei,
   1-14  historian Amanda Masur, and reporter Katie Harpenau have set a
   1-15  shining example to all Texans of what can be accomplished through
   1-16  perseverance and hard work; their exceptional accomplishment has
   1-17  brought great honor not only to their teachers, families, and
   1-18  community, but to the entire Lone Star State as well; now,
   1-19  therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-21  Legislature hereby congratulate Rockdale High School's Business
   1-22  Professionals of America parliamentary procedure team on their
   1-23  outstanding performance at the national level of competition; and,
   1-24  be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
    2-2  for the sponsor and members of this extraordinary group as an
    2-3  expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
