                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Tony Franco for his outstanding service to his community; and
    1-3        WHEREAS, Mr. Franco has enjoyed a rewarding 26-year career as
    1-4  an educator and currently teaches mathematics at Lanier High
    1-5  School; deeply committed to his chosen profession, he has served as
    1-6  vice-president of the Maverick County Texas State Teachers
    1-7  Association, and he was recognized for his outstanding
    1-8  contributions to the field when he was nominated for the
    1-9  prestigious Presidential Award for Teachers of Math; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Highly regarded for his boundless warmth and
   1-11  compassion, he has helped raise five migrant children, giving them
   1-12  the love, support, and encouragement they need to succeed in the
   1-13  world; a man of rare vision, he has contributed greatly to the
   1-14  quality of life in his community, and he is most worthy of special
   1-15  praise and recognition; now, therefore, be it
   1-16        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-17  Legislature hereby honor Tony Franco for his many significant
   1-18  contributions to his community and extend to him warmest best
   1-19  wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors; and, be
   1-20  it further
   1-21        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-22  prepared for Mr. Franco as an expression of high regard by the
   1-23  Texas House of Representatives.
