                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The members of the Sunnyside Family and Community
    1-2  Education Club will celebrate their organization's 65th anniversary
    1-3  on June 1, 1995, thus marking six and a half decades of commitment
    1-4  to preserving strong family and community values; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Since their first meeting in 1930, members of the
    1-6  club have dedicated themselves to God, family, and community, and
    1-7  they have worked diligently to preserve their traditional values
    1-8  while improving the quality of their lives; they have sought to
    1-9  educate themselves and each other through regular meetings,
   1-10  informative programs, and presentations by guest speakers, and they
   1-11  have reached out to their friends and neighbors in the community by
   1-12  serving as dedicated volunteers, involved parents, and tireless
   1-13  civic leaders; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, The Sunnyside Club was a charter exhibitor at the
   1-15  initial Panhandle Salad Bowl, now known as the annual Panhandle
   1-16  Folk Festival and Old West Days event, and members have maintained
   1-17  a high profile in their own community through their active support
   1-18  of 4-H programs; their commitment to the sanctity of home, family,
   1-19  and community is an inspiration to all who know them, and the
   1-20  members of this fine club are indeed deserving of highest praise
   1-21  and recognition on this significant occasion; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-23  Legislature hereby congratulate the Sunnyside Family and Community
   1-24  Education Club on the occasion of its 65th anniversary and extend
    2-1  to its members warmest best wishes for many more years of continued
    2-2  success and happiness; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-4  prepared for the Sunnyside Family and Community Education Club as
    2-5  an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
