                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The East Bernard High School Brahmas baseball team
    1-2  has achieved the pinnacle of success by winning the 1994 University
    1-3  Interscholastic League Class 2A state championship; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, This outstanding team performed flawlessly in the
    1-5  state 2A championship game against West Sabine High School,
    1-6  shutting out its opponent 5-0 to claim the coveted crown and
    1-7  completing the season with a superb record of 27 wins, two losses,
    1-8  and one tie; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Dedication to excellence both individually and as a
   1-10  team was the hallmark of this outstanding East Bernard squad, whose
   1-11  members include Jarrod Cavness, Brian Domel, Jody Domel, Doug
   1-12  Grigar, Clay Hudgins, Nate Kovar, Greg Kubes, Shane Lechler, Donnie
   1-13  McPaul, Clark Moreno, David Pless, Chris Polak, Trey Preisler,
   1-14  Russell Shelton, Jim Syptak, and Eric Viktorin; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Superb leadership and guidance were provided by head
   1-16  coach Kerry Brandl, who inspired his charges to perform at the
   1-17  highest level, and he was ably supported in his efforts by
   1-18  assistant coach David Sanders and manager Britt Sensat; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, These exemplary young men have been a source of
   1-20  tremendous pride to the students and faculty of East Bernard High
   1-21  School as well as their many supporters in the community, and their
   1-22  splendid achievements indeed merit special legislative praise and
   1-23  recognition; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby congratulate the East Bernard High School
    2-2  baseball team on winning the 1994 UIL Class 2A state championship
    2-3  and extend sincere best wishes to the team for continued success in
    2-4  the future; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-6  prepared for the team members and coaching staff as an expression
    2-7  of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
