No. 1207 74R14297 SAJ-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of Amous Earl Wilemon on May 1, 1995, at 1-2 the age of 89, has brought a great loss to the many friends and 1-3 relatives of this distinguished Texan; and 1-4 WHEREAS, A native of Fort Worth, Mr. Wilemon was well known 1-5 as the cofounder of the Good Luck Oil Company, and with the help of 1-6 his brothers, Famous Wilemon and Foy Wilemon, and his wife, Bobbie 1-7 Alicia Wilemon, the family's chain of filling stations became a 1-8 legend in the Dallas and Fort Worth communities; Mr. Wilemon was a 1-9 man of many diverse talents, and he also enjoyed a successful 1-10 career in real estate and owned many properties throughout the 1-11 metroplex; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Amous Wilemon was a man of great energy and 1-13 enthusiasm who touched the lives of many people during his long and 1-14 fruitful lifetime, and though his presence will be deeply missed, 1-15 his memory will long endure in the hearts and minds of all who were 1-16 privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas 1-18 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Amous Earl Wilemon 1-19 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his 1-20 son, E. O. "Earl" Wilemon; to his daughter, Betty Lou Moran; to his 1-21 sister, Vera Kendall; to his grandchildren, Alicia Katherine 1-22 Johnson, Lauren Wilemon-Dahl, Amous Shannon Moran, Shawn Mamasis, 1-23 Rachel Moran, and Matthew Wilemon; to his five great-grandchildren; 1-24 and to his many other friends and relatives; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-2 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-3 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-4 Amous Earl Wilemon.
