                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Yoe High School student Amanda Green recently
    1-2  captured the best actress title in the 1995 University
    1-3  Interscholastic League (UIL) Class 3A state one-act play
    1-4  competition for her dazzling performance in What I Did Last Summer;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Ms. Green also garnered an award and a scholarship
    1-7  from The Really Useful Group, P.L.C., for her memorable portrayal
    1-8  of Anna Trumble, the pig woman, in this acclaimed play by A. R.
    1-9  Gurney and was supported in this endeavor by a skillful cast and
   1-10  stage crew and the school's award-winning director, San Lorenz; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, A vivacious and talented young woman, Amanda Green
   1-12  has brought great honor to her school and community through her
   1-13  outstanding achievements in statewide competition, and she is
   1-14  indeed deserving of our highest praise and acknowledgement at this
   1-15  time; now, therefore, be it
   1-16        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-17  Legislature hereby congratulate Amanda Green on winning the title
   1-18  of best actress in the 1995 UIL Class 3A state one-act play
   1-19  competition and extend sincere best wishes to her for continued
   1-20  success and happiness in the years to come; and, be it further
   1-21        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-22  prepared for Ms. Green as an expression of highest regard by the
   1-23  Texas House of Representatives.
