H.R. No. 1244
                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two distinguished Texans
    1-2  who have shared 25 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a
    1-3  memorable occasion worthy of special recognition; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Janie and Jose Jimenez will have the pleasure of
    1-5  commemorating such a momentous event in their lives when they
    1-6  celebrate their silver wedding anniversary on December 19, 1995;
    1-7  and
    1-8        WHEREAS, The couple met while they were both students at
    1-9  Texas A&I University, and after discovering that they wanted to
   1-10  spend the rest of their lives together, they exchanged wedding vows
   1-11  in 1970; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. Jimenez, who previously worked with the Texas
   1-13  Highway Department for 10 years, has enjoyed a successful 13-year
   1-14  career with the City of Pasadena, and after devoting herself to her
   1-15  family and home for 18 years, Mrs. Jimenez recently returned to
   1-16  college to receive her teacher's certification in cosmetology; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jimenez are the proud parents of four
   1-18  children, Joe, Larry, Rita, and Therese, and they delight in the
   1-19  many successes of each of their children; the Jimenezes have
   1-20  instilled in their offspring the importance of education, community
   1-21  service, and religious values, and they have set a fine example for
   1-22  their children by serving as active community leaders and devout
   1-23  parishioners of San Juan Diego Catholic Church; and
   1-24        WHEREAS, Built on a foundation of mutual love, trust, and
    2-1  support, their life together has been a source of joy and
    2-2  inspiration to their family and many friends, and they are indeed
    2-3  deserving of special recognition on this joyous occasion; now,
    2-4  therefore, be it
    2-5        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-6  Legislature hereby congratulate Janie and Jose Jimenez on the
    2-7  occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary and extend to them
    2-8  warmest best wishes for their continued happiness; and, be it
    2-9  further
   2-10        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   2-11  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Jimenez as an expression of high esteem
   2-12  by the Texas House of Representatives.
