R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
1-2 offer congratulations to former Secretary of State George Bayoud
1-3 and his lovely wife Vickie on the birth of their beautiful baby
1-4 girl, Meredith Blair Bayoud; and
1-5 WHEREAS, Meredith Blair was born on June 10, 1994, and, as
1-6 she prepares to celebrate her first birthday, her devoted family
1-7 cannot help but reflect on the many milestones and turning points
1-8 they have watched her experience during her first wondrous year of
1-9 life; and
1-10 WHEREAS, Blessed with an irresistible smile and a winning
1-11 personality, this charming little girl has indeed brightened the
1-12 lives of everyone around her, and she is a tremendous source of
1-13 pride and joy to her family and many admirers; and
1-14 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bayoud have been capably assisted in
1-15 caring for their new arrival by Meredith's older brother,
1-16 five-year-old Griffin Bayoud; the elder Mr. Bayoud will undoubtedly
1-17 take great pride and delight in sharing his worldly wisdom with his
1-18 younger sister and guiding her through the many challenges of life
1-19 in the years to come; and
1-20 WHEREAS, Friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Bayoud have
1-21 been privileged to share their jubilation and excitement as they
1-22 have welcomed two such special children into their family; and
1-23 WHEREAS, It is now fitting that the members of this chamber
1-24 extend a warm welcome to Meredith Blair Bayoud and recognize her as
2-1 a truly treasured citizen of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be
2-2 it
2-3 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
2-4 Legislature hereby officially welcome Meredith Blair Bayoud as a
2-5 new citizen of Texas and express hearty congratulations to George
2-6 and Vickie Bayoud on the birth of their daughter; and, be it
2-7 further
2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-9 prepared for the Bayoud family as an expression of high regard by
2-10 the Texas House of Representatives.
