No. 410 By: Montford 1-7 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-8 AN ACT 1-9 relating to the delay of certain payments or transfers from the 1-10 general revenue fund. 1-11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-12 SECTION 1. ALLOCATIONS TO STATE HIGHWAY FUND. 1-13 Notwithstanding any other law, the comptroller shall allocate and 1-14 deposit to the credit of the state highway fund the portions of the 1-15 following revenue allocable to that fund as soon as practicable 1-16 after September 5 and no later than September 10 of each 1-17 odd-numbered year: 1-18 (1) the unclaimed refunds of gasoline taxes under 1-19 Section 153.502, Tax Code, for June, July, and August of each 1-20 odd-numbered year; 1-21 (2) the gasoline taxes collected under Subchapter B, 1-22 Chapter 153, Tax Code, for June, July, and August of each 1-23 odd-numbered year; 1-24 (3) the diesel fuel taxes collected under Subchapter 1-25 C, Chapter 153, Tax Code, for June, July, and August of each 1-26 odd-numbered year; and 1-27 (4) the liquefied gas taxes collected under Subchapter 1-28 D, Chapter 153, Tax Code, for June, July, and August of each 1-29 odd-numbered year. 1-30 SECTION 2. EMERGENCY. The importance of this legislation 1-31 and the crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-32 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-33 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-34 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended, 1-35 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its 1-36 passage, and it is so enacted. 1-37 * * * * *
