No. 635 1-2 (In the Senate - Filed February 17, 1995; February 20, 1995, 1-3 read first time and referred to Committee on State Affairs; 1-4 April 4, 1995, reported favorably by the following vote: Yeas 13, 1-5 Nays 0; April 4, 1995, sent to printer.) 1-6 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-7 AN ACT 1-8 relating to filing conduct surety bonds by certain alcoholic 1-9 beverage permit or license holders. 1-10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-11 SECTION 1. Subsection (g), Section 11.11, and Subsection 1-12 (g), Section 61.13, Alcoholic Beverage Code, are repealed. 1-13 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1995, and 1-14 applies only to a license or permit issued or renewed on or after 1-15 that date. A license or permit issued or renewed before the 1-16 effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect at the 1-17 time of the issuance or renewal, and the former law is continued in 1-18 effect for that purpose. 1-19 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the 1-20 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-21 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-22 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-23 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended. 1-24 * * * * *
