A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

1-3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-4 SECTION 1. Section 54.507, Higher Education Code, is amended

1-6 follows:
1-7 (a) The Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System

1-20 does not take effect unless the increase is approved by a majority
1-21 vote of the students voting in an election held for that purpose or
1-22 by a majority vote of the student government at the institution.
1-23 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the

2-4 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
