    1-6                         A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-7                                AN ACT
    1-8  relating to the eligibility of the Texas Department on Aging to
    1-9  participate in certain block grant programs.
   1-10        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
   1-11        SECTION 1.  Subdivision (1), Section 2105.001, Government
   1-12  Code, is amended to read as follows:
   1-13              (1)  "Agency" means:
   1-14                    (A)  the Texas Department of Human Services;
   1-15                    (B)  <,> the Texas Department of Health;
   1-16                    (C)  <,> the Texas Department of Housing and
   1-17  Community Affairs;
   1-18                    (D)  <,> the Central Education Agency;
   1-19                    (E)  <,> the Texas Department of Mental Health
   1-20  and Mental Retardation;
   1-21                    (F)  the Texas Department on Aging;<,> or
   1-22                    (G)  any other commission, board, <or>
   1-23  department, or state agency designated to receive block grant
   1-24  funds.
   1-25        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-26  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-27  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-28  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-29  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-30  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-31  passage, and it is so enacted.
