    1-6                         A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-7                                AN ACT
    1-8  relating to the creation of the County Court at Law No. 3 of Bell
    1-9  County.
   1-10        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
   1-11        SECTION 1.  Section 25.0161, Government Code, is amended to
   1-12  read as follows:
   1-13        Sec. 25.0161.  Bell County.  Bell County has the following
   1-14  statutory county courts:
   1-15              (1)  County Court at Law No. 1 of Bell County; <and>
   1-16              (2)  County Court at Law No. 2 of Bell County; and
   1-17              (3)  County Court at Law No. 3 of Bell County.
   1-18        SECTION 2.  Notwithstanding Section 25.0161, Government Code,
   1-19  as amended by this Act, the County Court at Law No. 3 of Bell
   1-20  County is created January 1, 1999, or on an earlier date determined
   1-21  by the commissioners court by an order entered on its minutes.
   1-22        SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-23  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-24  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-25  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-26  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-27  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-28  passage, and it is so enacted.
