    1-8                         A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-9                                AN ACT
   1-10  relating to the authority of the board of directors of the Tarrant
   1-11  County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 to provide
   1-12  certain benefits.
   1-13        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
   1-14        SECTION 1.  Chapter 352, Acts of the 57th Legislature,
   1-15  Regular Session, 1961 (Article 8280-207a, Vernon's Texas Civil
   1-16  Statutes), is repealed.
   1-17        SECTION 2.  Any compensation or benefit plan offered by the
   1-18  Tarrant County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 on the
   1-19  effective date of this Act may be continued under the authority of
   1-20  general law.
   1-21        SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-22  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-23  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-24  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-25  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-26  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-27  passage, and it is so enacted.
