                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
                                        AN ACT
    1-1  relating to the conveyance of certain real property by the Austin
    1-2  Independent School District to the Austin Community College
    1-3  District.
    1-4        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-5        SECTION 1.  (a)  The Austin Independent School District may
    1-6  convey all right, title, and interest in all or part of the real
    1-7  property described by Section 1, Chapter 824, Acts of the 62nd
    1-8  Legislature, Regular Session, 1971, to the Austin Community College
    1-9  District for mutually agreed consideration paid to the Austin
   1-10  Independent School District.
   1-11        (b)  The conveyed property must be used by the Austin
   1-12  Community College District for public educational purposes
   1-13  consistent with Section 1, Chapter 824, Acts of the 62nd
   1-14  Legislature, Regular Session, 1971.  The Austin Independent School
   1-15  District retains a right of reverter in the conveyed property, and
   1-16  title to the property shall automatically revert to and vest in the
   1-17  Austin Independent School District if the Austin Community College
   1-18  District ceases to use the property for public educational
   1-19  purposes.
   1-20        (c)  A conveyance under this Act does not invoke the right of
   1-21  reverter retained by the state in Section 1, Chapter 824, Acts of
   1-22  the 62nd Legislature, Regular Session, 1971.
   1-23        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-24  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
    2-1  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
    2-2  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
    2-3  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
    2-4  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
    2-5  passage, and it is so enacted.
