                             SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, The board of regents of Stephen F. Austin State
    1-2  University has voted to purchase two parcels of land in
    1-3  Nacogdoches, Texas, with money appropriated by Section 17(a),
    1-4  Article VII, Texas Constitution; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Under Subsection (b), Section 62.021, Education
    1-6  Code, money appropriated by Section 17(a), Article VII, Texas
    1-7  Constitution, may not be expended for land acquisition projects
    1-8  proposed for endorsement by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating
    1-9  Board within three months of a legislative session without the
   1-10  prior approval of the legislature; now, therefore, be it
   1-11        RESOLVED, That the 74th Legislature of the State of Texas
   1-12  approve the use by the board of regents of Stephen F. Austin State
   1-13  University of money appropriated by Section 17(a), Article VII,
   1-14  Texas Constitution, to purchase:
   1-15              (1)  two unimproved tracts of land totalling 0.2663
   1-16  acres, more or less, located at the intersection of Baker and
   1-17  Carolyn Streets in Nacogdoches, Texas; and
   1-18              (2)  one tract of land consisting of 0.42558 acres,
   1-19  more or less, located on North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas, within
   1-20  two blocks of the university and the masonry building consisting of
   1-21  9,479 square feet, more or less, located on that tract.
