    1-7                     SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-8        WHEREAS, The board of regents of Stephen F. Austin State
    1-9  University has voted to purchase two parcels of land in
   1-10  Nacogdoches, Texas, with money appropriated by Section 17(a),
   1-11  Article VII, Texas Constitution; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Under Subsection (b), Section 62.021, Education
   1-13  Code, money appropriated by Section 17(a), Article VII, Texas
   1-14  Constitution, may not be expended for land acquisition projects
   1-15  proposed for endorsement by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating
   1-16  Board within three months of a legislative session without the
   1-17  prior approval of the legislature; now, therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the 74th Legislature of the State of Texas
   1-19  approve the use by the board of regents of Stephen F. Austin State
   1-20  University of money appropriated by Section 17(a), Article VII,
   1-21  Texas Constitution, to purchase:
   1-22        (1)  two unimproved tracts of land totalling 0.2663 acres,
   1-23  more or less, located at the intersection of Baker and Carolyn
   1-24  Streets in Nacogdoches, Texas; and
   1-25        (2)  one tract of land consisting of 0.42558 acres, more or
   1-26  less, located on North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas, within two
   1-27  blocks of the university and the masonry building consisting of
   1-28  9,479 square feet, more or less, located on that tract.
