                             SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Legislature of the State of Texas is pleased to
    1-2  recognize BOSS '95 Symposium participants as they gather in Corpus
    1-3  Christi this January; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, The Business Opportunity Symposium Series gives
    1-5  historically underutilized businesses an opportunity to enhance
    1-6  partnership linkages with corporate, government, and public
    1-7  entities; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Designed to enhance profit and progress for
    1-9  businesses owned by minorities and women, BOSS '95 provides a
   1-10  partnership in economic development by consolidating the interests
   1-11  and resources of major corporations, public agencies, and
   1-12  historically underutilized businesses; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, These companies furnish Texans with new occupations,
   1-14  jobs, and goods; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, The multiplicity of new goods and services provided
   1-16  by historically underutilized businesses enriches the lives of the
   1-17  entire populace of Texas; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, The benefits that such businesses derive from a
   1-19  symposium such as BOSS '95 can be a real economic boost; now,
   1-20  therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the 74th Legislature hereby recognize and
   1-22  commend the BOSS '95 Symposium for its outstanding promotion of
   1-23  positive help for businesses; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for the
    2-2  organizers of BOSS '95 as an expression of the high regard  of the
    2-3  Texas Legislature.
