                             SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, Serving junior, senior, and graduate students from
    1-2  the upper Gulf Coast of Texas and around the world, the University
    1-3  of Houston-Clear Lake has provided higher education opportunities
    1-4  for more than 22,000 graduates since 1974; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The University of Houston-Clear Lake celebrated 20
    1-6  years of excellence during the 1993-1994 academic year; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, The University of Houston-Clear Lake advocates and
    1-8  demonstrates excellence in all endeavors by providing outstanding
    1-9  educational and employment opportunities for its students and the
   1-10  upper Gulf Coast region of Texas; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The University of Houston-Clear Lake advances this
   1-12  excellence through exceptional academic programs including computer
   1-13  and software engineering, environmental studies, teacher education,
   1-14  business and accounting, health care administration, psychology,
   1-15  and the liberal arts; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, The University of Houston-Clear Lake is at the
   1-17  forefront of establishing and implementing total quality principles
   1-18  in higher education and has been recognized statewide for
   1-19  streamlining operations and saving state dollars; now, therefore,
   1-20  be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the 74th Legislature of the State of Texas
   1-22  hereby congratulate the University of Houston-Clear Lake for two
   1-23  decades of superior service to the State of Texas and its people;
    2-1  and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-3  prepared for the University of Houston-Clear Lake as an expression
    2-4  of high regard from the Texas Legislature.
