                             SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, May 25, 1995, is a significant day in the lives of
    1-2  386 graduating seniors of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown,
    1-3  Texas; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, The Robert E. Lee High School Class of 1995 is the
    1-5  76th class to complete the requirements for graduation from Robert
    1-6  E. Lee High School and now joins a proud and distinguished group of
    1-7  Robert E. Lee High School alumni; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Established in 1929 on the banks of Goose Creek,
    1-9  Robert E. Lee High School is the proud home of the Flying Gander
   1-10  and the premier high school in Baytown, Texas; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The graduating Class of 1995 has brought numerous
   1-12  high honors and distinctions to itself, to Robert E. Lee High
   1-13  School, to the City of Baytown, and to the great State of Texas
   1-14  through its outstanding and exemplary performance in athletic,
   1-15  vocational, and academic competitions; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, These accomplishments would not have been possible
   1-17  without the dedicated instruction, support, and guidance of the
   1-18  Robert E. Lee High School faculty and administration; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, The parents of the 1995 graduates of Robert E. Lee
   1-20  High School are to be equally commended for their commitment to
   1-21  educational excellence in public schools and for their loving
   1-22  efforts to help ensure their children are mentally prepared to face
   1-23  the challenges of the 21st century; now, therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the 74th Legislature of the State of Texas
    2-2  hereby congratulate and commend the Robert E. Lee High School Class
    2-3  of 1995 and offer sincere best wishes to the graduating seniors for
    2-4  a safe, memorable, and joyous celebration; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-6  prepared for the Robert E. Lee High School Class of 1995 to be
    2-7  displayed for the students, parents, and faculty of this
    2-8  outstanding school.
