    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Lucinda Orosco and Ernest J. Rodriguez placed great
    1-3  faith and trust in the future on July 2, 1944, and they have been
    1-4  amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their golden wedding
    1-5  anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
    1-7  of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez have steadfastly
    1-8  embraced traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
   1-10  love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and
   1-11  sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez were blessed with
   1-13  a wonderful family; their children, Michael A. Rodriguez,
   1-14  James E. and Sharon Rodriguez, and Eric J. and Amy Rodriguez,
   1-15  and their six grandchildren have been a source of much pride and
   1-16  joy; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez shared their happiness with
   1-18  their family and friends at a reception in their home and a dinner
   1-19  at the Old San Francisco Steak House on July 2, 1994; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez
   1-21  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
    2-1  Mr. and Mrs. Ernest J. Rodriguez on their 50th wedding anniversary;
    2-2  and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this
    2-4  distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in their lives.
