    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
    1-3  recognize the achievements of the employees, directors, physicians,
    1-4  and volunteers of The Methodist Hospital of Houston as they
    1-5  celebrate the hospital's 75th anniversary on January 20, 1995; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Throughout the 75 years that The Methodist
    1-7  Hospital has operated, it has built a reputation for itself for
    1-8  its outstanding record for community service and for educating the
    1-9  community about preventative medicine and treatment; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, The Methodist Hospital occupies a special place in
   1-11  the hearts of all those who have benefitted from the excellent care
   1-12  they received as hospital patients; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, A special reception is planned for the staff,
   1-14  retirees, volunteers, and doctors of The Methodist Hospital for
   1-15  Friday, January 20, 1995, in which the participants will enjoy
   1-16  visits with old friends; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, This will be a time to pause and evaluate the proud
   1-18  history of the hospital and to look toward the future; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, It is indeed appropriate that the Texas Senate
   1-20  express its appreciation to The Methodist Hospital for the
   1-21  invaluable medical and community services performed for the people
   1-22  of Texas; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  74th Legislature, hereby recognize The Methodist Hospital on the
    2-2  august occasion of its 75th anniversary and send warmest regards to
    2-3  all those who have provided superior health care delivery; and, be
    2-4  it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-6  hospital as a memento of this significant day.
