No. 52 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure 1-3 in recognizing Lanette Nolte of Ingleside for her splendid 1-4 contributions to the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The esteemed individual will be honored by her peers 1-6 at a retirement party at the Community Center of Port Aransas on 1-7 January 22, 1995; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Nolte is retiring from her post after 21 1-9 years of devoted service to the chamber; despite limited funds 1-10 and a small staff to work with, this remarkable lady was able to 1-11 accomplish all that was asked of her; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Nolte has earned the respect and admiration of 1-13 those she worked with through the years; her untiring efforts, her 1-14 accessibility, and her cordial manner will be deeply missed by all 1-15 who were associated with her; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Instrumental in handling almost all the tourism that 1-17 came into Port Aransas, she never wavered from her task of always 1-18 being ready to help anyone who called on her for assistance; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Lanette Nolte was responsible for responding to 1-20 all the inquiries whether from travel writers, industrial groups, 1-21 firefighters, individuals, or the Port Aransas Boatman Association, 1-22 and she handled them all efficiently and ably; and 1-23 WHEREAS, In 1983 former Governor Mark White honored Mrs. Nolte 2-1 with the Texas Hospitality Award; the prestigious award is presented 2-2 by the Texas Tourism Development Agencies, which represents all the 2-3 tourism people in Texas; and 2-4 WHEREAS, A native of Montgomery County, Lanette Nolte has 2-5 lived in Ingleside since she was an infant and is a graduate of 2-6 Ingleside High School; she is married to R. C. Nolte and has a 2-7 daughter, Charlette Hagerdon, and a four-year-old grandson, 2-8 Clay Hagerdon; now, therefore, be it 2-9 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-10 74th Legislature, hereby express its sincere appreciation to 2-11 Lanette Nolte on the momentous occasion of her retirement for her 2-12 exceptional achievements during her tenure with the Port Aransas 2-13 Chamber of Commerce; and, be it further 2-14 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her 2-15 as a memento of this special day in her life. 2-16 ______________________________________ 2-17 President of the Senate 2-18 I hereby certify that the above 2-19 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-20 on January 19, 1995. 2-21 ______________________________________ 2-22 Secretary of the Senate 2-23 ______________________________________ 2-24 Member, Texas Senate
