    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is proud to recognize
    1-3  Ryan Bruce Salinas of Houston on achieving the rank of Eagle
    1-4  Scout; this fine young man joined the elite corps of Eagles
    1-5  recently and was presented the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court
    1-6  of Honor; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two
    1-8  out of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program ever attain the
    1-9  rank of Eagle Scout; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
   1-11  promise, Ryan advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,
   1-12  First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, This personable young man has displayed leadership
   1-14  through planning, developing, and conducting a service project;
   1-15  he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and citizens
   1-16  of his community; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, Ryan brings great
   1-18  honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his
   1-19  state; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-21  74th Legislature, hereby commend Ryan Bruce Salinas of Troop 604
   1-22  on receiving this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his
   1-23  outstanding achievement; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-2  Eagle Scout Salinas as an expression of high regard and esteem
    2-3  from the Texas Senate.
