    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                            James E. Ingram
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of San Antonio in mourning the loss of James E. Ingram who died
    1-7  January 5, 1995, at the age of 53; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born in 1942, James Ingram was a graduate of Baylor
    1-9  University and Baylor University Law School; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A talented athlete, James Ingram was an
   1-11  All-Southwest Conference end while attending Baylor University;
   1-12  he was named Most Outstanding Lineman at the Bluebonnet Bowl in
   1-13  1963 and was a captain of the South Squad at the Hula Bowl; he
   1-14  also played on the Houston Oilers football team in 1964; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Mr. Ingram was dedicated to his work as an attorney
   1-16  and was a partner with the law firm of Butler and Binion at the
   1-17  time of his death; he was a director of the San Antonio Bar
   1-18  Foundation and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished gentleman, Mr. Ingram
   1-20  was respected in the community for his many accomplishments; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, A well-known civic leader, he served on the Board
   1-22  of Managers of Bexar County Hospital District and was a director of
   1-23  the National Conference of Christians and Jews; he was a trustee of
    2-1  the Baptist Children's Home; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
    2-3  gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and
    2-4  valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
    2-5        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, James Ingram was a member of
    2-6  Trinity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school
    2-7  teacher; and
    2-8        WHEREAS, James Ingram lived his life to the fullest and was
    2-9  a devoted husband and father who leaves behind memories that will
   2-10  be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore,
   2-11  be it
   2-12        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   2-13  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family
   2-14  of James E. Ingram:  his wife, Kay Kallina Ingram; his daughters,
   2-15  Julie Ingram and Shannon Ingram; his sons and daughter-in-law, Kal
   2-16  and Christina Ingram and Cameron Ingram; his mother and stepfather,
   2-17  Florence Ingram and Roy J. Johnson; and his sister, Flo Nell Ingram;
   2-18  and, be it further
   2-19        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-20  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
   2-21  the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it
   2-22  do so in memory of James Ingram.
