    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Rogelia H. and Sebastian C. Hernandez, Sr.,
    1-3  placed great faith and trust in the future when they married on
    1-4  February 4, 1945, and they have been amply rewarded as they
    1-5  recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
    1-7  of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez have steadfastly
    1-8  embraced traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
   1-10  love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and
   1-11  sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez have been blessed with a
   1-13  wonderful family; their children, Maria Louisa, Sebastian, Rufino,
   1-14  and Carlos, and their 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren
   1-15  have been a source of much pride and joy; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Mr. Hernandez was employed for 40 years with Kelly
   1-17  Air Force Base where he received a number of awards and
   1-18  commendations; Mrs. Hernandez is a homemaker who has dedicated
   1-19  her life to raising a strong family; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez
   1-21  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
    2-1  Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian C. Hernandez, Sr., on their 50th wedding
    2-2  anniversary; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-4  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
    2-5  their lives.
