    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Estellar Lee Embry Belcher on the momentous occasion of
    1-4  her 105th birthday on January 1, 1995; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, She was born in Overton, Texas, and later moved to
    1-6  Tyler, Texas; she demonstrates sincere concern for others and has
    1-7  consistently taken an interest in the welfare of her community; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A beloved former resident of Tyler, Mrs. Belcher
    1-9  now lives with a granddaughter, Ruby McEwing, and son-in-law
   1-10  Theodore C. Johnson in Forest Hill; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The blessings of her long sojourn in this world
   1-12  are evident as she recalls tales of years past; Mrs. Belcher has
   1-13  earned the respect and friendship of all who know her; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Still an active and vital member of her community,
   1-15  she is noted for her exemplary enthusiasm for living each day to
   1-16  the fullest; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, This gentlewoman has a daughter and grandchildren
   1-18  who live in San Antonio, Texas; she also has great-grandchildren,
   1-19  great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren
   1-20  who live in Texas, Oklahoma, New York, and Hawaii; now, therefore,
   1-21  be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  74th Legislature, hereby send heartiest congratulations to
    2-1  Estellar Lee Embry Belcher on the grand occasion of her 105th
    2-2  birthday and wish her many more happy birthdays to come; and, be
    2-3  it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
    2-5  as a memento of this glorious event.
