    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                              Ina D. Ward
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Big Spring in mourning the loss of Ina D. Ward who died
    1-7  January 16, 1995, at the age of 87; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born April 25, 1907, in Big Spring, Ina McMurray
    1-9  married Cecil Hyden in 1923; he preceded her in death in 1962 and
   1-10  she married Frank Ward who died in 1983; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, A lifetime resident of Howard County, Ina Ward moved
   1-12  to the Luther community in 1923, and she and Mr. Hyden farmed for
   1-13  many years; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, she was respected in the community
   1-15  for her many accomplishments and was dedicated to her work as a
   1-16  homemaker; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and generosity, she
   1-18  gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom, warmth,
   1-19  and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mrs. Ward was a member of
   1-21  Anderson Street Church of Christ; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, Ina Ward was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother,
   1-23  and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her
    2-1  family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-4  bereaved family of Ina D. Ward:  her sons, C. H. Hyden, W. M. Hyden,
    2-5  J. D. Hyden, and Ross Hyden; her daughters, Ida Dell McElroy and
    2-6  Imogene Burroughs; her sisters, Hazel McElreath, Georgia Daniels,
    2-7  Inez Spinks, Thelma McMurray, Lorene Wallace, Tiny Roberson, and
    2-8  Lena Maxwell; her brothers, Bill McMurray and Henry McMurray; and
    2-9  her 28 grandchildren; and, be it further
   2-10        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-11  members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
   2-12  the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it
   2-13  do so in memory of Ina D. Ward.
