    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, James F. Tarver and Berdine Mallard placed great
    1-3  faith and trust in the future on January 12, 1945, and they have
    1-4  been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their golden wedding
    1-5  anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
    1-7  of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Tarver have steadfastly embraced
    1-8  traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
   1-10  love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and
   1-11  sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tarver have been blessed with a
   1-13  wonderful family; their children, William Hainsworth III and
   1-14  Ida Hainsworth, Rosalyn Gooch, Captain James Tarver and
   1-15  Dorisann Tarver, and Sherry Tarver and Almetria Tarver, and
   1-16  their 10 grandchildren have been a source of much pride and
   1-17  joy; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tarver shared their happiness with
   1-19  their family and friends at a dinner and reception hosted by
   1-20  their children at the Holiday Inn; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Tarver
   1-22  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
    2-2  Mr. and Mrs. James Tarver on their 50th wedding anniversary;
    2-3  and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-5  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
    2-6  their lives.
