By: Moncrief S.R. No. 144 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in 1-3 recognizing Louie W. Nash III of Arlington on achieving the rank 1-4 of Eagle Scout; this fine young man joined the elite corps of Eagles 1-5 recently and was presented the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court of 1-6 Honor; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two out 1-8 of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program ever attain the rank of 1-9 Eagle Scout; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and 1-11 promise, Louie advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, 1-12 First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and 1-13 WHEREAS, This personable young man has displayed leadership 1-14 through planning, developing, and conducting a service project; 1-15 he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and citizens 1-16 of his community; and 1-17 WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, Louie brings great honor 1-18 to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state; 1-19 now, therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-21 74th Legislature, hereby commend Louie Nash of Troop 421 on 1-22 receiving this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his 1-23 outstanding achievement; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-2 Eagle Scout Nash as an expression of high regard and esteem 2-3 from the Texas Senate. 2-4 ______________________________________ 2-5 President of the Senate 2-6 I hereby certify that the above 2-7 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-8 on February 6, 1995. 2-9 ______________________________________ 2-10 Secretary of the Senate 2-11 ______________________________________ 2-12 Member, Texas Senate
