No. 146 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Frank McGlaun 1-5 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the 1-6 citizens of Lubbock in mourning the loss of Frank McGlaun who 1-7 died January 19, 1995, at the age of 73; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Born September 7, 1921, in Dawson County, 1-9 Frank McGlaun married Melvena Baker on December 25, 1942, and 1-10 served in the United States Army during World War II; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Mr. McGlaun was dedicated to his work as the owner 1-12 of Frank McGlaun Office Supply and Business Copy Products; and 1-13 WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished gentleman, Mr. McGlaun 1-14 was respected in the community for his many accomplishments; and 1-15 WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he 1-16 gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and 1-17 valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and 1-18 WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Frank McGlaun was a member of 1-19 the First Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and the Shrine; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Frank McGlaun was a devoted husband, father, and 1-21 grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured 1-22 forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-1 74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved 2-2 family of Frank McGlaun: his wife, Melvena Baker McGlaun; his 2-3 daughters, Paige McGlaun Dominich and Paula Ream; his brothers, 2-4 Randall McGlaun and Grady Herrin; his sisters, Annette Lindsey and 2-5 Sarabeth Ratliff; and his three grandchildren; and, be it further 2-6 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-7 members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the 2-8 Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so 2-9 in memory of Frank McGlaun. 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 President of the Senate 2-12 I hereby certify that the above 2-13 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-14 on February 6, 1995, by a rising vote. 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Secretary of the Senate 2-17 ______________________________________ 2-18 Member, Texas Senate
