    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
    1-3  recognize Susan Hopkins for her five and one-half years of excellent
    1-4  service to the Communities in Schools; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Recently appointed State Director of Arizona Cities
    1-6  in Schools, Susan Hopkins began work in her new position in
    1-7  January, 1995; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Known for her hard work and dedication to education,
    1-9  Ms. Hopkins has brilliantly served the needs of Texas children in
   1-10  her position in Communities in Schools; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, An exemplary role model, she has constantly sought
   1-12  to foster interest in life-long learning; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, She has labored diligently in her duties and has
   1-14  earned the respect and admiration of her associates; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, During the time she has been with Communities in
   1-16  Schools, Susan Hopkins has witnessed tremendous growth in the
   1-17  program and it has attained statewide recognition; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Her legacy of excellence in all her endeavors will
   1-19  remain as Communities in Schools continues to grow; she is owed a
   1-20  debt of gratitude on behalf of the schoolchildren of Texas; now,
   1-21  therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  74th Legislature, hereby commend the service of Susan Hopkins
    2-1  to Communities in Schools and wish her well in her future position
    2-2  with the State of Arizona; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-4  Susan Hopkins as an expression of the high regard and esteem of
    2-5  the Texas Senate.
