    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
    1-3  pleasure in recognizing 13 outstanding residents of the Rebekah
    1-4  Baines Johnson Retirement Center who are over 90 years of age;
    1-5  and
    1-6        WHEREAS, These remarkable women have shown courage and
    1-7  commitment to life and are exemplary role models for younger
    1-8  generations; through good times and bad, they have been women
    1-9  of vision who have exhibited great strength of character and
   1-10  who have faced life's difficulties with resilience and good
   1-11  humor; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, The Rebekah Baines Johnson Retirement Center is
   1-13  hosting a special Valentine's Party on February 14, 1995, to
   1-14  honor these special citizens who have embraced life and all it
   1-15  offers with enjoyment and contentment; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Born September 22, 1902, Lola Mae Daniel has been
   1-17  a missionary for many years and has traveled and lived in China;
   1-18  she has written several books about her experiences and continues
   1-19  to lecture abroad and in the United States on religion; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, It is fitting that the Texas Senate honor this
   1-21  distinguished citizen for her many contributions over her long
   1-22  and fruitful life; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  74th Legislature, hereby recognize Lola Mae Daniel as an honored
    2-2  citizen of her community and her state; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-4  her as an expression of the high esteem of the Texas Senate.
