    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Vivian Cooper was chosen recently as the 1994
    1-3  Secretary of the Year by the Bryan Educational Secretaries
    1-4  Association for her notable service to the Bryan Independent
    1-5  School District; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The beloved individual was honored for her untiring
    1-7  efforts and for her unfailing dedication to her work as secretary
    1-8  to the supervisor of the school district maintenance department;
    1-9  and
   1-10        WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, Vivian Cooper has worked
   1-11  for the Bryan school district since 1974 when she started as a
   1-12  special education aide before moving to her present position in
   1-13  1980; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Throughout her secretarial career, the esteemed
   1-15  lady has conscientiously performed her duties with a willingness
   1-16  and effectiveness that are a credit to herself as well as a
   1-17  significant benefit to the school district; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Her genuine warmth and her spirit of cooperation
   1-19  have made her a special favorite among her fellow employees;
   1-20  she has earned the respect and friendship of all with whom she
   1-21  is associated; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, Besides graciously handling a multitude of duties
   1-23  for the maintenance department, Vivian Cooper has ably served as
    2-1  program chairman of the yearly donation program for Phoebe Home's;
    2-2  she has also organized and supervised the collection of food and
    2-3  toys at the auxiliary service center for needy Bryan families;
    2-4  now, therefore, be it
    2-5        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-6  74th Legislature, hereby commend and applaud Vivian Cooper for
    2-7  her meritorious service to the Bryan Independent School District
    2-8  and express sincere appreciation to her for her invaluable
    2-9  contributions; and, be it further
   2-10        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
   2-11  for Vivian Cooper as an expression of the high regard of the
   2-12  Texas Senate.
