    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                       Fannie Belle Grant Isbell
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of Texas joins the citizens of Bryan and
    1-6  Navasota in mourning the loss of Fannie Belle Grant Isbell who died
    1-7  January 9, 1995, at the age of 102; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born October 2, 1892, in Riesel, Fannie Belle Grant
    1-9  married Clinton A. Isbell; she lived in Navasota for 45 years before
   1-10  moving to Bryan in 1987; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Mrs. Isbell was dedicated to her work as a homemaker
   1-12  and was an exemplary lady who was respected in the community for
   1-13  her many accomplishments; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, A woman of integrity, strength, and generosity, she
   1-15  gave unselfishly of her time to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and
   1-16  valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, she was a member of Central
   1-18  Baptist Church and a member of the Phebean Sunday school class; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, Fannie Belle Isbell was a devoted wife, mother, and
   1-20  grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured
   1-21  forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
    2-1  family of Fannie Belle Grant Isbell:  her sons and daughters-in-law,
    2-2  Buck and Carrie Isbell, Truman T. and Frances Isbell, and George R.
    2-3  and Margie Isbell; her daughters and sons-in-law, Doris Ethel and
    2-4  Claudie Coree Wren, Emma I. Boles, Juanita I. Tomlin, and Marilyn I.
    2-5  and Donald Jay; and her 16 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren,
    2-6  and four great-great-grandchildren; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-8  members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
    2-9  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
   2-10  in memory of Fannie Belle Grant Isbell.
