No. 247 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased 1-3 and proud to recognize Mildred Sullivan who recently celebrated 1-4 her 105th birthday; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Well known for her charm, genuineness, and 1-6 generosity of spirit, this gracious lady is a beloved resident 1-7 of Bryan-College Station; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Blessed with an infectious grin and warm nature, 1-9 Mildred Sullivan is noted for her enviable calmness and serenity; 1-10 and 1-11 WHEREAS, The endearing memories of her long sojourn in 1-12 this world are evident as she recalls tales of years past; she 1-13 has earned the respect and friendship of all who know her; and 1-14 WHEREAS, This remarkable woman is truly deserving of 1-15 the long and happy life with which she has been blessed; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Noted public figures, friends, and well-wishers 1-17 sent her birthday cards from all across the nation; now, 1-18 therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-20 74th Legislature, hereby declare Mildred Sullivan a treasured 1-21 citizen of her town and state, with best wishes for her continued 1-22 health and happiness; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared 2-1 for this distinguished lady as a memento of this exceptional 2-2 milestone in her life. 2-3 ______________________________________ 2-4 President of the Senate 2-5 I hereby certify that the above 2-6 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-7 on February 16, 1995. 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 Secretary of the Senate 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 Member, Texas Senate
