    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Roland and Catherine Crenshaw of College Station
    1-3  placed great faith and trust in the future when they were married
    1-4  on December 20, 1944, and they have been amply rewarded as they
    1-5  recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during
    1-7  the years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Crenshaw have
    1-8  steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values;
    1-9  and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in
   1-11  their love and devotion as together they have experienced the
   1-12  joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Crenshaw have been blessed with
   1-14  a wonderful family; their children, Cathy Dietz, Rolene and
   1-15  Steve Branch, and Jayne and Mikel Foust, and their six
   1-16  grandchildren and two great-grandchildren have been a source
   1-17  of much pride and joy; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Crenshaw shared their happiness
   1-19  with their family and friends at a reception hosted by their
   1-20  children; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Crenshaw
   1-22  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
    2-2  Mr. and Mrs. Roland Crenshaw on their 50th wedding anniversary;
    2-3  and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-5  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
    2-6  their lives.
