    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is honored to extend
    1-3  heartfelt congratulations to Leon and Jean Reeves of Odessa, Texas,
    1-4  on the joyful occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Leon and Jean Reeves were married on March 1, 1945,
    1-6  in Pampa, Texas, and over the years the beloved couple has formed
    1-7  an ideal relationship based on love, mutual respect, and friendship;
    1-8  and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Their hearts are filled with joyful memories of their
   1-10  life together that are cherished more dearly with each passing year;
   1-11  and
   1-12        WHEREAS, The strengthening ties of home, family, children, and
   1-13  friends have been woven into a blend of quiet contentment springing
   1-14  from a long and abundant life shared; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Blessed with three wonderful children, Leon and Jean
   1-16  have found much joy and pride in their daughters, Shana McGill
   1-17  and Jo Anne York, and their son, Cary Reeves, and in their six
   1-18  grandchildren, Kelsi, Cary, Jr., Shea Lynn, Jaybe, Michael, and
   1-19  Melisa, and one great-grandchild, Jayson; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Bestowed in abundance with God's grace and blessings,
   1-21  Leon and Jean celebrated their 50th anniversary surrounded by their
   1-22  family and friends who shared in their warmth and caring; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, Their long and happy union has been an inspiration
    2-1  to all who know them; now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  74th Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Leon and Jean Reeves
    2-4  for continued health and happiness; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-6  this distinguished couple as an expression of the admiration of the
    2-7  Texas Senate.
