No. 304 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Juanita Adams Stacy 1-5 WHEREAS, The citizens of Levelland mourned the passing of one 1-6 of the city's most respected residents, Juanita Adams Stacy, who 1-7 died February 8, 1995, at the age of 75; and 1-8 WHEREAS, The beloved wife, mother, and grandmother will be 1-9 remembered with gratitude for her devotion to her family, her 1-10 church, and her community; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Born on September 18, 1919, Mrs. Stacy was a native 1-12 of Ada, Oklahoma; after her marriage, she became a dedicated 1-13 homemaker and provided a loving and secure home for her children; 1-14 and 1-15 WHEREAS, A devout Christian who lived her faith in her daily 1-16 life, Juanita Stacy was a member of the First Baptist Church in 1-17 Levelland; and 1-18 WHEREAS, She leaves a legacy of compassion and commitment 1-19 that will continue to live in the hearts and minds of her loved 1-20 ones and all who were privileged to know her; now, therefore, 1-21 be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-23 74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family 2-1 of Juanita Adams Stacy: her son, Tom; her daughter, Cathy Pope; 2-2 and her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and, be 2-3 it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-5 members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from 2-6 the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it 2-7 do so in memory of Juanita Adams Stacy. 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 President of the Senate 2-10 I hereby certify that the above 2-11 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-12 on February 27, 1995, by a rising vote. 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Secretary of the Senate 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Member, Texas Senate
