    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                       Clovis Lawrence Lockwood
    1-5        WHEREAS, The citizens of Kermit, Texas, mourned the
    1-6  untimely passing of one of the city's most respected residents,
    1-7  Clovis "Larry" Lawrence Lockwood, who died February 3, 1995, at
    1-8  the age of 48; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Mr. Lockwood will be greatly missed by his family,
   1-10  his friends, and his colleagues who knew him as a man of sound
   1-11  principles and unwavering devotion to his ideals; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, A native of Louisville, Mississippi, Larry had made
   1-13  his home in Kermit for the past 19 years; he was a devoted husband
   1-14  and father to his wife, Evelyn, and his sons, Mickael Wayne and
   1-15  Larry Wade; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Lockwood
   1-17  was a customer service technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone
   1-18  Company where he earned the respect and friendship of all those
   1-19  who worked with him; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, He was a devout Christian who lived his faith in
   1-21  his daily life and was a member of Belvue Baptist Church; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, His wise counsel and sound judgment will be deeply
   1-23  missed by all those who loved him and whose lives he touched;
    2-1  now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-4  family of Clovis "Larry" Lawrence Lockwood:  his wife, Evelyn;
    2-5  his sons, Mickael Wayne Lockwood and Larry Wade Lockwood; his
    2-6  mother, Eleanor Lockwood; and his granddaughter; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his
    2-8  family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
    2-9  and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
   2-10  Clovis "Larry" Lawrence Lockwood.
