    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                            Tommy W. Sager
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Lubbock in mourning the tragic loss of Tommy W. Sager who died
    1-7  February 9, 1995, at the age of 47; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born October 29, 1947, in Crosbyton, Tommy Sager
    1-9  attended Lubbock Christian University and Western Texas College;
   1-10  he was a United States Navy veteran and served in Guam; he married
   1-11  Iris McCrary in Lubbock on August 18, 1972; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. Sager was dedicated to his work as a police
   1-13  officer; he served with the Lubbock Police Department, the
   1-14  Seminole Police Department, and the Lubbock Independent School
   1-15  District police force; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, A man of many talents and interests, Tommy Sager
   1-17  was also a deputy city marshal and owned and operated Tommy Sager
   1-18  Construction Company; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman, Mr. Sager was respected in
   1-20  the community for his many accomplishments; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he gave
   1-22  unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and
   1-23  valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Sager was a former associate
    2-2  pastor of Carlisle Baptist Church; and
    2-3        WHEREAS, Tommy Sager was a devoted husband and father, and he
    2-4  leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
    2-5  family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-6        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-7  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
    2-8  bereaved family of Tommy W. Sager:  his wife, Iris McCrary Sager;
    2-9  his daughter, Andrea Sager; his sons, Ty Sager and Matt Sager;
   2-10  and his parents, Don and Doris Sager; and, be it further
   2-11        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
   2-12  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
   2-13  the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day,
   2-14  it do so in memory of Tommy Sager.
